The former IBF super-bantamweight champion has been added to the Rotunda Rumble III card which will take place at the Rotunda at Caesars, Bluewaters.

It will be his first fight back in the ring since he lost stopped Jesus Martinez in Chicago in October.

Doheny, 22-1, faces a tricky test against Baluta, 12-2, as he looks to place himself in title contention once again.

Baluta upset Kyle Williams in Wolverhampton last October to claim a WBO European title.

At 179cm, he will have a significant height advantage over the Portlaoise native (166cm) when the pair square off in three weeks time. The Romanian will also hold a 6cm reach advantage.

Elsewhere on the card, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi and Rohan Date will all be in action while Steve Collins Jr will also be lacing the gloves up on the night when he takes on Cesar Mateo Tapia at super-middleweight.
